Owens Cross Roads is a popular and populated area. There has been a lot of growth in Huntsville and as a result, Ownes Cross Roads has seen this growth too. If you live in the actual town of Owens Cross Roads, your home will be zoned for Madison County schools with Pre-K through 6th grade attending Owens Cross Roads Elementary School and 7th-12th at New Hope. However, a large part of 35763 is zoned for Huntsville City including most of the new developments. The homes on the west side of Highway 431 attend Goldsmith-Schiffman Elementary School, while those on the east side are zoned for Hampton Cove Elementary. Both of these two elementary schools come together at Hampton Cove Middle and continue on to Huntsville High.

There is lots of nature to observe and mountains for hiking, biking, walking your dog, and driving. There is access to tourist attractions. Only 1.5 hours from Nashville and/or Birmingham.
